OSAGE Beach front, Mo. (KY3) – The Bureau of Liquor Tobacco & Firearms executed a federal lookup warrant on Skelton Tactical on Tuesday.
Jim Skelton, the operator of the firearms and ammunition store, suggests agents arrived in immediately after he produced two gross sales. One of the guns he experienced a short while ago was ordered at an auction.
”They arrived in he bought a firearm from me, from my truck. I had acquired a firearm at an auction, and there was no paperwork on it, and I marketed it to him as an individual. I did not have it, the firearm was not procured on the firearms license or nearly anything. So I sold it to him as an specific,” said Skelton.
Skelton says the two then arrived in and acquired various guns from his business. A female crammed out the correct paperwork.
”She indicated, certainly, she was the firearm purchaser. When it arrived down to passing the cash to me, the man passed me the cash, not the female. So they’re saying that that was incorrect,” claimed Skelton.
This is not the first time Skelton has experienced to deal with ATF. He experienced interactions when he obtained his license to offer firearms and then again earlier this calendar year.
”I did not see anybody from the ATF for an additional 3 a long time. That was when my license expired following that time period of time that I renewed it. Then they confirmed up in June and after many months. Heading by means of my data, they told me I’d been undertaking points totally incorrect,” reported Skelton.
ATF could not go into detail about what led to the investigation but did remark on the predicament.
”We executed a federal search warrant in Osage Seaside at the premise of Skelton Tactical. It was an ongoing federal investigation into violation of federal firearms legislation,“ said John Ham, Public Data Officer for ATF, Kansas Town Divison.
No arrests have been created.
